Live Activities are an iOS feature that displays real-time information directly on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. With CrewCue, you can see the current schedule item, remaining time, and the next entry at a glance — without unlocking your iPhone.

Currently, CrewCue is only available for iPhone (iOS). The main reason: Android does not yet offer a full equivalent to Apple's Live Activities. Google's "Live Updates" are still very limited and not supported by all manufacturers. Once Android offers a comparable feature across the board, we will evaluate an Android version.

The CrewCue iOS app is free to download and use, with no in-app purchases. To create a team and invite crew members, a team subscription is required, which is managed through the CrewCue website.

Teams are created and managed on the CrewCue website. The subscription includes a base number of check-in slots per event. Additional slots can be added flexibly. Payment is handled via Stripe — completely independent of the App Store.

Crew members can check in starting one hour before the event begins. This activates the Live Activity on the lock screen and displays the real-time schedule. After the last schedule item, check-out happens automatically.

OnStage Mode applies a red filter over the entire app. This preserves night vision in dark production environments — for example backstage or in the FOH area during a show.

Crew Alerts are instant crew-wide messages that can be sent by team admins. They appear as push notifications and directly in the Live Activity on the lock screen — perfect for last-minute changes or important announcements.

Yes, after checking in, all event data is cached locally on your device. You have access to the schedule, weather data, and crew info even without an internet connection. Everything syncs automatically once you're back online.

CrewCue is available in German and English. The app automatically adapts to your iPhone's language setting.

CrewCue uses Supabase as its backend, hosted in the EU. Only data necessary for operation is collected. No tracking, no sharing with third parties. Details can be found in our privacy policy.

Yes, you can permanently delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Account & Security. All personal data will be removed. If you are the owner of a team, you must transfer ownership first.
